About Us

American Grant Writers’ Association, Inc. is an association of grant writers and grant managers. 

To promote professional conduct of our 1200+ active members, the organization adopted Professional Ethics and Standards of Practice.  To further the professional growth of its members, the organization awards the Certified Grant Writer® credential to members who have demonstrated proficiency in grantseeking.   

In 2011 the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded American Grant Writers Assciation a Trademark for its “Certified Grant Writer” Credential (CGW). 

The organization is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Current Board Members are
